Cop car detector? Not exactly but the trunk tracker found on the Bearcat BCT-15x is great at detecting the county and state mobile extenders. I constructed a dual band egg beater omni directional antenna how to and connected it to the scanner. The end result is a tuned antenna with MUCH MUCH better range than the standard telecoping, or a vertical antenna. The placement in the rear window will give it some forward and rear directional from the attenuation of the car on the sides. This antenna has circular polarization and 360x180 coverage great for reception in urban or geographically challenging roadways.
